Great for Imaginative Play
With its nautical blue-and-yellow paint scheme and sturdy construction, the Ocean Boat looks and feels like it was made for high-seas adventure. It comes with three Imaginext-style figures, each with their own outfit and scuba gear. The figures have rotatable arms and legs, and their hands are shaped to grasp numerous objects throughout the ship.
The ship is full of movable parts, giving the boat a realistic touch. Spin a dial on top, for instance, and the ship’s doors will fling open. Rolling the ship along on a hard surface will spin the ship’s propellers and satellite dishes in unison.
There is also an opening cargo hold with translucent doors, a life-saver launcher, a rotating crane for deploying the submarine, and more. The accessory submarine comes with spinning propellers and rotating arms. Unfortunately, the boat wasn’t designed for water play. My 4 year old son loves this toy. He has almost every set that Imaginext offers. It is durable and holds his attention. He likes to play with this set and the pirate ship together. Both my husband and I are huge fans of the Imaginext brand.

When my three children were young, Fisher Price was one of those toys I could count on for exceptional quality and fun-filled hours of play. Years have passed and now with grandchildren I am making purchases of Fisher Price toys again. It is great to see quality, durability, and great detail go into the Fisher Price toys after 30 years. The ocean boat is a fun toy. Our 2 and 3 year old grandboys spend lots of time playing with the moveable parts…pretending as they push the boat along. We have added a couple “sold separately” pieces to the set. It’s nice to see one company who is still concerned about good quality products for children.

This was a hassle free packaging item. I got this for my son for Christmas.I was so glad that hassle free packaging was as advertised. The only downside is that it’s a plain brown box. Kids love to see all the pictures when they open their gift.
The toy itself was very well built and had lots of things to play with. the wench works and so does the anchor. There is a rear storage bay with clear deck hatch. There are lots of accessories. Sea animals and equipment for the action figures.
My son had the Imaginex Pirate ship last year. Build quality on these products are excellent. Both boats have been bath tub toys for most of their lives and I have yet to notice any rusting for breakdown of any of the mechanicals on the toys.

At two years old, there are few opportunities that my son is content to play by himself. I was hoping I could find a toy that would occupy his attention long enough to get some things accomplished around the house. This one did the trick…he loves it. This is not like other toys where he gets bored with it after 48 hours and rarely plays with it again. Several weeks later, he still has an interest in all of its functions. There are quite a few small pieces, but he enjoys “putting them away” in the cargo hold. He enjoyed it so much, I have purchased a similar toy by the same manufacturer for his birthday. BTW, the packaging was appreciated…minimal set up time. My only recommendation is that I wish it included more than one life ring, because my son loves to shoot it, and I afraid that piece will mysteriously disappear.

We gave this to our grandson for Christmas - he and his brother loved it. His mom says they play with it all the time. The Boat seems very durable. It is colorful and looks fun.
